John Stroppa is not looking for alibis
Words from the Brianzoli coach after the loss to Udinese
It was a far from smiling Giovanni Stroppa who appeared in the press conference after his Monza side’s loss to Udinese, their third defeat in as many matches to start the championship.
No alibi for the comeback suffered: “Today the team still showed that they have important qualities,” he said in front of reporters. “In this game, you simply win by scoring goals and we did not do that.
For Stroppa, it is not the game that negatively affected the result: “The team arrives in front of the opponent’s goal with many men, unfortunately we took two avoidable goals. One came after a quick exchange, even on the second we got a goal despite being more in that area of the field. We need to improve.”
The third defeat in the league inevitably fuels rumors of possible action against Stroppa himself, who, however, feels the trust of the club: “The season has not really started yet, I do not feel in the balance,” said the red and white coach.
