Ferrari’s Spanish driver Sainz will start from the first spot on the grid at Spa.

Ferrari driver Carlos Sainz took pole position for the Belgian Grand Prix. In official qualifying at Spa, Red Bull driver Max Verstappen was clearly the fastest, but will start 14th due to the replacement of some power unit elements. With him in 15th place will start Charles Leclerc, who was also sanctioned.

Sainz is thus the best of the non-penalized drivers, ahead of Red Bull driver Sergio Perez and Alpine driver Fernando Alonso. Back are the Mercedes of Lewis Hamilton and George Russell, who without counting the sanctioned drivers will start from fourth and fifth positions.
