Wedding in Venice between former swimming champion Federica Pellegrini and her coach Matteo Giunta
Former Italian champion swimmer Federica Pellegrini married her coach Matteo Giunta in Venice on Saturday afternoon, in a high-security ceremony celebrated at the Church of San Zaccaria and officiated by her former parish priest in Spinea, Fr. Antonio Genovese.
Many VIPs were present in the church, including Coni president Giovanni Malagò. Serving as Federica’s best man was her brother Alessandro. Also present at the rite were the couple’s four French bulldogs.
At the dinner at the JW Marriott Venice Resort on Rose Island, 160 guests are expected to attend.
