Second goal on spot kick in Serie A for Juventus striker
Finally, a goal on a free kick. Vlahovic scored on a spot kick to Roma goalkeeper Rui Patricio. A “historic” goal, considering that it had been more than two years since a Juventus player found the way to the net on a free kick.
The last to do so, in the Juventus-Torino derby on July 4, 2020, had been a certain Cristiano Ronaldo. It took Vlahovic to update the statistics. The Serbian showed, then, that he had another weapon to hurt opposing defenses. It should be noted that CR7 had found the goal on a free kick against Torino after no less than 43 attempts. Vlahovic took significantly less, although it is only his second goal on a free kick in Italy.
