Yeman Crippa won the 33rd edition of the race held in Feltre

Saturday night the spectacle of the Tour of the Walls returned to Feltre, a bit of rain had fallen after the Mile of Municipalities, then the skies cleared leaving Feltre residents to take to the streets to cheer the champions of the Seven Laps “Trofeo Famila” and in the Tour of the Walls “Trofeo Cassa Rurale Dolomiti.”

In the 9.5-kilometer race that closed the evening of the Giro, the 10,000-meter gold medalist at the European Championships in Munich, Yeman Crippa, on the last lap, after running shoulder to shoulder with Kenyan Felix Kiptarus Korir, opened the throttle on his way to win edition number 33 of the Giro delle Mura. Crippa stopped the stopwatch in 22’55”.
In second place was Felix Kiptarus Korir himself, 13 seconds behind. Daniele Meucci, who knows Feltre’s cobblestones to perfection since he has won twice, closed his race in third position with a time of 23’12”.

In the Seven Laps, a relay race with direct elimination on a 400-meter course, Federico Riva and Sveva Fascetti took the top step of the podium at the “Famila Trophy” . On the last lap the start was for four pairs, Ahmed Abdelwahed – Ludovica Cavalli, Mohad Abdikadar – Martina Tozzi, Enrico Riccobon – Joyce Mattagliano and just Federico Riva – Sveva Fascetti. Fascetti starts immediately with an impressive pace, gaining precious meters on the pursuers. The exchange with Riva is perfect, to him only the task of flying towards the final finish line of this very fast race.

In second position are Ahmed Abdelwahed – Ludovica Cavalli while Mohad Abdikadar – Martina Tozzi are third. As for the races that opened the program of the Tour of the Walls, Said Boudalia and Manuela Bulf are the fastest in the amateur category while Poles Noga Damian and Joanna Frukacz are the new European Fire Brigade Champions – Hydro Trophy.

In the Mile of Municipalities, a race reserved for young road running levers, Sedico won among the boys with Mario Burigo and Valsugana in the women’s race with Paola Parotto.
