Ko on debut for Trevisan

Martina Trevisan’s adventure at the U.S. Open ends immediately.

The Florentine tennis player, No. 27 in the women’s draw, was defeated in two sets (7-5, 6-1) by the lesser-ranked Russian player Evgenija Rodina.

Trevisan’s opponent, after a hard-fought first set, won 7-5, took the lead in the second, conceding only one game to the Italian.

The 28-year-old from Tuscany can blame the several wasted break points and the low percentage of first balls on her serve.
