Leandro Paredes arrives from Paris Saint Germain

Juventus officially announced the arrival in Turin of midfielder Leandro Paredes: the Argentine arrives from Paris Saint Germain and will strengthen the midfield at Massimiliano Allegri’s disposal.

This is the official press release with all the figures: “Juventus Football Club S.p.A. announces that it has reached an agreement with Paris Saint-Germain Football s.a.s. for the free acquisition, on a temporary basis until June 30, 2023, of the right to the sports performance of the player Leandro Paredes.

In addition, the agreement provides for:
– the obligation on the part of Juventus to definitively acquire the player’s sports performance upon the achievement of certain sports objectives during the 2022/2023 season;
– the right on the part of Juventus to outright acquire the player’s sports performance if said objectives are not achieved.

The agreed consideration for the outright acquisition, in both cases, is € 22.6 million, including the portion relating to the solidarity contribution provided for by FIFA regulations, payable in three fiscal years, plus additional charges of € 2.2 million, and may be increased, during the term of the sports performance contract with the player, by an amount not exceeding € 3.0 million upon the achievement of additional objectives.

Upon the achievement of certain sports results and in the event that neither the obligation nor the option to purchase the player’s sports performance should occur, Juventus will pay Paris Saint-Germain Football a consideration of € 2.5 million.”

Juventus, meanwhile, said goodbye to Marko Pjaca, who moves to Empoli on a loan deal with the right of redemption set at a figure between €3 million and €4 million.
