President Zhang has been put in the crosshairs

After collecting a good deal of criticism for his veto on the Acerbi deal (the defender was now ready to undergo medicals and then sign a contract), Inter president Steven Zhang is under heavy attacks on social media because of the possible reopening of talks with PSG over an imminent sale of Milan Skriniar to Al-Khelaifi’s club.

The words pronounced yesterday by coach Christophe Galtier, who had stated, “I cannot tell you that it is completely over, he has been in our sights for a long time. The negotiation with Inter is difficult but there are 48 hours left until the market closes, everything is still possible,” received no denial from the Nerazzurri club. Which, incidentally, would also, on Wednesday morning, have also lined up contacts with Bayer Leverkusen for the possible transfer of Robin Gosens: a deal for now frozen only because of differences of views on the loan obligation, demanded by the management of the Beneamata.

The news, also circulated by L’Equipe, about the reopening of the negotiations and even about a meeting (ventilated by Foot Mercato) between the Nerazzurri and the Parisians in the Milan headquarters of the Italian club with a view to the definition of the Skriniar coup, would have definitively made the Interisti people lose patience.

“Come on President! Come on #Zhang, tear us apart, maybe Conte is still interested in a last minute #Bastoni,” ÆÄß said on Twitter. He is echoed by Pierpaolo R., who writes, “But do we realize the damage the current ownership is doing to the #Inter of the present and, more importantly, the future? #zhang.” There is also no shortage of authoritative testimonies about the hours of passion that await the Nerazzurri fans between now and the end of the market, as reported by journalist Tancredi Palmeri: “The last 31 hours of the market for Inter fans will be endless. It feels like reliving the night of August 31, 2002 with Ronaldo’s farewell. And the precedent is not auspicious,” and of Juventus fans highlighting how “I could make fun of you, if it were true, as you did with us with #CristianoRonaldo but it would be a much more serious stuff in my opinion … also because your coach talks and is not listened to, Marotta talks in front of microphones and then #Zhang does his own thing…. ZELIG #Skriniar,” says FlashJ.
