F1 Mercedes, Toto Wolff warns rivals: ‘We have learned a lot’
Mercedes team principal Toto Wolff: “Fortunately, we won’t have to wait long before we hit the track again.”
Mercedes arrives in the Netherlands hoping to improve on George Russell’s fourth-place finish in Belgium. Team principal Toto Wolff had this to say ahead of Zandvoort: “The weekend in Belgium was challenging for the team. So many things happened, such as the differences in pace between Saturday and Sunday, through to Lewis’ difficult first lap and George’s podium chances.”
“We learned a lot and worked hard to figure out what the problems were, and fortunately we won’t have to wait long before we get on track again. What will make a difference in the remainder of the season will be how quickly and effectively we learn from the difficulties to deliver the best performance this year but also in 2023. The Zandvoort track is old school, we want to tackle it the best we can with this new generation of cars.”
