Giacomo Agostini outspoken on MotoGp post Valentino Rossi
Multiple world champion Giacomo Agostini on MotoGp: “Championship beautiful but lacks pathos, I would like some more discussion”
Multiple world champion Giacomo Agostini from the columns of La Gazzetta dello Sport had his say on the first MotoGp World Championship without Valentino Rossi: “I like the fact that at this point of the season there are still three of them playing for the World Championship, although Fabio Quartararo still has a good amount of points to administer and for me he is still the favorite. Of course, he is alone against everyone, only Yamaha against an army of Ducati and the two Aprilias. But last year Fabio took home the title, this year he’s leading the championship again.”
Also according to Agostini among the title contenders there is a lack of the competitive nastiness of the rivals of yesteryear: “There is a lack of pathos. Because in addition to seeing two up there in front fighting every Sunday, I would also like them to be busy arguing every once in a while, squabbling. Respect must always be there and it must be absolute, but if there’s also that little bit of spice that sparks interest, it’s better.”
