MotoGp: Jorge Martin-Ducati, compensation coming.
Jorge Martin, who will remain with the Ducati Pramac team, didn’t mince words at a press conference
Jorge Martin did not hide his disappointment at a press conference in Misano for not joining the official Ducati team: “I’m a little disappointed with Ducati’s decision. Bastianini deserves it, he won three races and was incredible. For sure it was a difficult decision, I did my best for what Ducati asked of me. At the beginning I felt a lot of confidence in myself. At some point I also got hurt, I had some problems, they started to lose confidence. I talked to other factory teams, I thought about changing, but I think I have a lot to prove in Ducati Pramac, so I’m happy to stay with this team for another season, then we’ll see.”
According to rumors reported by Motorsport, the Spaniard will receive financial compensation from Ducati, according to a clause included in the contract. Martin now wants to prove them wrong at Borgo Panigale: “I have a very good contract, I am very happy, I hope to make history with Pramac, which is to win the World Championship in 2023. I hope to have the same support as Bastianini and Bagnaia to fight as equals.”
