Serie B: Brescia, Reggina and Frosinone take the top spot, show tie between Genoa and Parma
Three teams at the top of the cadet league.
Serie B is led by a trio of teams after Saturday’s fourth day of the championship. They are Brescia, Reggina and Frosinone, which were able to beat Perugia (2-1), Palermo (3-0) and Como (2-0), respectively. They are now all paired on 9 points.
The Rondinelle prevailed thanks to the one-two of Galazzi and Aye in the first quarter of an hour, before the interval Luperini shortened. Instead, the Amaranths fly in one of the most anticipated challenges of the round: Fabbian in the first half, Menez and Liotti decisive in the second half. One goal per half at Stirpe Stadium: Koné and Mulattieri scored.
Instead, Cosenza slows down, forced to a 1-1 draw away from Ternana. For the Calabrians, it was Brignola who answered Favilli. Also on 7 points is Benevento, which ran away to Venice: the 2-0 is signed by La Gumina and Koutsoupias. One point apiece in Ascoli-Cittadella (0-0) and Bari-Spal (2-2, with the guests retaking goals by Cheddira and Antenucci in the second half thanks to La Mantia and Rabbi).
The most spectacular draw, however, was Genoa-Parma: it ended 3-3 at Marassi. Grifone ahead with Frendrup, ducali able to overturn the result with Inglese and Mihaila, but Hefti equalizes again before halftime. In the second half Coda’s penalty put the Ligurians back ahead, then at the expiration it was Estevez who fixed the final score.
