MotoGp Misano: Bagnaia drops poker, Bastianini second. Ducati domination
World champion Fabio Quartararo limits the damage and finishes in fourth position
Pecco Bagnaia’s fourth consecutive victory definitively reopened the MotoGp World Championship in Misano. The Ducati centaur won the San Marino Grand Prix at the end of a great duel with brand mate Enea Bastianini. Bagnaia’s poker is unprecedented in the history of the Borgo Panigale stable.
Third place went to Aprilia’s Maverick Viñales, who for large stretches kept up with Bagnaia, then yet another Ducati, that of Luca Marini, then, more than 5 seconds behind, came fifth the reigning world champion and World Championship leader Fabio Quartararo.
Also in the top ten were the other Aprilia of Aleix Espargarò, Alex Rins on Suzuki, Brad Binder, Jorge Martin and Alex Marquez. Dovizioso, in the last race of his career, finished in 12th position.
Thanks to this success, Bagnaia moves to within 30 points of the Frenchman, the World Championship is wide open.
