Roma overwhelmed, resounding poker by Udinese
Unexpected collapse of the Giallorossi in Friuli
After an August that was promising to say the least, Roma began their month of September with a very tough defeat on the field of a relentless Udinese: at the final whistle it was 4-0, a scoreline that, among other things, launches the Friulani right into the top five forces in the league.
Already after a few minutes from the start of the match, it is clear that it will be a difficult night for Roma: from a defensive inattention by Karsdorp, in fact, Udogie’s lead was born, which was worth the 1-0 that the Bianconeri would carry until halftime.
In the second half, the entries of Belotti and Celik did not change the story of the match: Udinese in fact doubled in the 56th minute with a conclusion from the distance by Samardzic on which Rui Patricio was all but ready.
For the Giallorossi, a post hit by Mancini should be noted, but it is really a drop in the ocean: Andrea Sottil’s men are in fact perfect on the counterattack and score twice more, in the 75th minute with Roberto Pereyra and in the 85th minute with Lovric.
Little to say about the last minutes: to rejoice is Udinese, which in the standings joins right Roma at 10, just one length less than Napoli and Milan.
