The Japanese GP, the third round of the F1 World Championship, started several minutes late. In fact, almost 15′ extra wait for Formula 1 fans to enjoy the race in that of Suzuka.

The reason is not related to adverse weather conditions but to an accident that happened, a few hours before the start of the F1 GP, in the Porsche Carrera Cup Japan category.

An accident of important dimensions, fortunately without serious consequences for the single-seaters involved, which led to damage to part of the circuit’s protective barriers, especially in turn 12.

The intervention of the race commissioners was obligatory, who, in order to make everything safe again, were forced to communicate to the various teams the decision to postpone the start of the race. A minor mishap that did not dampen the enthusiasm of the many fans present in Suzuka to follow the Japanese GP.
