Reigning Olympic champion Marcell Jacobs will run on the Caorle waterfront for the “Azzurro Caorle” initiative. The Italian centometrist will run on a specially laid out track in the Venetian resort. He will not be alone as his relay partner Lorenzo Patta, with whom he won the Olympic race,and Paralympic sprinters Ambra Sabatini and Monica Contrafatto will be present.

The event, scheduled for Tuesday, September 13, anticipates the athletics star’s wedding to partner Nicole Daza, which will take place on the shores of Lake Garda on the 17th of the same month. The mayor of Caorle commented, “It is an honor for our Caorle to be able to welcome the blue speed athletes.” The cadet track and field championships (Under 16) will be held in the same city in October.
