Gianmarco Tamberi flies to Zurich: historic encore in Diamond League

Another huge satisfaction for the jumper from the Marche region.

Italian athletics is celebrating another great international success for Gianmarco Tamberi: the athlete from the Marche region has in fact won the Diamond League in his specialty, the high jump, winning the final competition of the season with the measure of 2.34, the same as JuVaughn Harrison who, however, committed overall one more error before getting it.

For Tamberi, the Olympic and European champion in the specialty, this is yet another personal satisfaction at the international level: as of today, his trophy case is enriched with the second diamond in his career after the one he won in 2021.

2.34, moreover, is the season record for Gimbo, who has thus shown that he has maintained his form and concentration despite the disappointment of the World Championships in Eugene, going on to take first the continental gold in Munich and then the Diamond League in the final event in Switzerland.
