Mourinho’s word before the challenge against Ludogorets
After winning the first-ever Conference League, Roma is preparing to face the group stage of Europe’s second-largest competition this season, the Europa League, with renewed ambitions. However, it does so after a very heavy knockout like the one in Udine: a 0-4 that shook the Giallorossi environment that, before the tumble at the Dacia Arena, was flying on the wings of enthusiasm.
José Mourinho, however, wants to banish all negative thoughts and does so by speaking clearly in a press conference: “Tomorrow we start again from 0-0,” he said. “We have to avoid going down after a few minutes, but in general evenings like the one in Udine are an excitement, not the norm. That is also why my reaction with the boys was calm.”
“The performance, however, was not such as to justify such a clear result,” the Special One added. Tomorrow Ludogorets will see how angry we are.”
