Marc Marquez, message to fans after two days of testing in Misano
Marquez candid at end of test on chances of comeback
He has finally seen himself back on the track riding his Honda number 93, but it is not certain that the two days of testing at Misano are the actual prelude to a comeback in the MotoGp World Championship. This is, in extrama synthesis, the feeling described by Marc Marquez himself to the microphones of ‘Marca,’ at the conclusion of the two days of testing at the circuit dedicated to the memory of Marco Simoncelli.
“It went very well – are the words of the multi-time world champion, reported by ‘Marca’ -, I did not expect to do so many laps, especially the second day. The sensations on the bike improved lap by lap, I was beginning to understand what I needed, I tried to push and compared to the other Hondas my times were good.”
Words that would hint at an immediate comeback, perhaps as early as Aragon, but which Marquez himself explains further, dampening some of his fans’ enthusiasm: “The best training is riding the bike, that’s where you work on what you need at the muscular level,” he said. “But, this afternoon, I started to hold my arm a little unnaturally, my strength was running out and I couldn’t find a better riding position. So we decided to stop. I want to come back as soon as possible and that’s what I’m going to do: but I have to make sure I have the stamina to complete a race.”
