Moto2: Pedro Acosta wins, Arbolino excellent second

Pedro Acosta dominates the Italian Grand Prix of the Moto2 class and thus takes his third win of the season, redeeming his retirement from the previous race in France.

The Spaniard of the Red Bull KTM Ajo team, Moto3 champion in 2021, preceded Tony Arbolino (Elf Marc VDS Racing) and Jake Dixon (GasGas Aspar) on the podium. The place on the podium conquered by the Garbagnate rider allows him to nimbly maintain the first position in the World Championship standings: in fact, Arbolino’s points are 119 compared to Acosta’s 99.

As for the other Italians, Celestino Vietti Ramus, fifth, is among the top ten. Good race for Mattia Pasini, 11th and long in the fight to enter the top 10.
