Us Open, Tiafoe can beat Alcaraz according to Corretja
Tiafoe has no intention of stopping
After his feat over Rafael Nadal, Francis Tiafoe cleared Russian Andrey Rublev in three sets in the quarterfinals of the Us Open.
The American tennis player really appeared to be in a state of grace, and even former Spanish tennis player Alex Corretja wanted to point this out: “He is really impressive. Two more to go, but in his mind he is not only happy to be in the semifinals, he feels he can go all the way. And I think he can do it. Every time he plays very smart and smart tennis and we will see if he has a chance.”
“The most important thing is that he is having fun on the court and he seems to be having fun. It’s not easy to have fun at such an important stage of a Slam, so it’s good to see someone doing it well,” added the current TV commentator.
The world number 26 will face in the semifinals, scheduled for Friday, Sept. 9, Carlos Alcaraz, executioner of our own Jannik Sinner, at the end of a marathon match that lasted more than five hours.
