Marcelo Brozovic at the last gasp: three golden points for Inter.
Marcelo Brozovic at the last gasp: three golden points for Inter.
It took just under 90 minutes but in the end Inter managed to knock out Torino and earn three very important points. The waters in the Nerazzurri’s house had been pretty rough after the derby defeat, and Marcelo Brozovic’s winning goal against the Granata was crucial for Simone Inzaghi.
Virtually nothing happened in the first half: Lautaro tried to unhinge the Granata defense but to no avail, then Vlasic tested Handanovic’s reflexes. The Nerazzurri went into the locker room without even registering a shot on goal.
In the second half, Torino entered more decisively than Inter and went close to scoring on a couple of occasions. Dzeko and Lautaro tried to shake things up but to no avail, then Brozovic in the 89th minute managed to put through Milinkovic-Savic taking great advantage of Barella’s assist.
