Roma footballer struggling with shoulder injury and contractual affairs

A lightning return of Nicolò Zaniolo to the Roma squad cannot be ruled out even if the latest from Trigoria does not bode well ahead of Monday’s trip to Empoli. The trequartista, after dislocating his left shoulder, has been out of his brace for a few days and has resumed individual training since Wednesday, but only from the beginning of next week should he resume gradual work with the group. For this reason, it is very likely that he will be excluded from the squad for Monday’s match.

According to reports from the “Corriere dello Sport,” Mourinho is carefully assessing the evolution of Zaniolo’s physical condition, with the minimum goal of recovering him for the Europe League match against HJK scheduled for next Thursday.

However, it is not only the injury that holds sway, speaking of Zaniolo. The summer flirtation with the Bianconeri is already part of the past, about tomorrow there is no longer any doubt: he will be tinged with yellow and red. In the run-up to the challenge with Atalanta, a new meeting is scheduled between Giallorossi ds Tiago Pinto and the player’s agent, Claudio Vigorelli. The entourage is asking for a top player’s salary; Roma is starting from a base of 3.5 plus bonuses going up, with an extended deadline until 2027. As happens in negotiations, the deal may be found in the middle.
