Michele Pirro wants to make history
It’s back to Mugello. After the June event, this weekend the Tuscan track will host the Pata Round of the CIV 2022, for an increasingly international Championship given the presence of Japan’s Hikari Okubo in the Ng and the U.S. Daniel Lanuza in the Ss300.
In Sbk Michele Pirro will be hunting for a historic result. The Barni Spark Racing Team Du-cati rider will have the chance to win the 2022 title as early as Mugello, the ninth for him, a result that would con-sent him to overtake Ubbiali and Villa (stopped at eight) from the third step of the podium of the most winningest riders ever to the Italian. It will still be up to Alessandro Delbianco to try to stop the triumphant ride of his rival, winner of seven races in a row. The Aprilia Nuova M2 Racing rider, 56 lengths behind Pirro, is back from a double podium at Misano, a round in which he battled for a long time with the Ducati tester. Watch also for Luca Vitali (Scuderia Improve – Firenze MotorHonda) and Randy Krummenacher (Yamaha Keope Motor Team), both on the podium in the last two races.
