Adriano Panatta, bitter message about Roger Federer
Former Italian tennis player Adriano Panatta uses few, definitive words, “Tennis has retired.”
Adriano Panatta on Twitter bid a bitter farewell to “King” Roger Federer, who said no more at age 41 after a formidable career. “Today Roger Federer did not retire, TENNIS retired,” the former Italian tennis player wrote on his social profile.
To Repubblica Panatta then paid tribute to the Swiss phenomenon with other statements, “He was the best technically, he played modern tennis and seeing him play was a pleasure. With his extraordinary talent he moved me like a painting or a film work. When he played, he didn’t even muss his hair.”
