A variety of messages appeared on the web after Rogere Federer’s retirement announcement: on Twitter, shortly after the Swiss champion’s announcement, one also appeared from the official profile of the Wimbledon Tournament. The organizers of the British slam wanted to pay tribute to the Swiss champion with an emotional message.
“Roger, Where do we begin? – it reads -It has been a privilege to witness your journey and see you become a champion in every sense of the word. We will greatly miss seeing you tread our courts, but all we can say for now is thank you, for the memories and joy you have given to so many.”
Roger Federer won the London tournament eight times in his career. At the age of 41, he decided to retire after enchanting on courts around the world.
