F1 Ferrari, Binotto’s surprising admission: ‘We need to change’
Maranello team principal Binotto: “I don’t want to replace people, but something must be done”
Ferrari team principal Mattia Binotto in an interview with Sky Sports opened to possible changes in the team: “We don’t need to change people, but we definitely need to change some things. Like the way we communicate, the way we get to the decision-making process…. Some changes are necessary.”
“We could add people, but replacing them is not a path I want to take, it’s an old way of dealing with problems. To finish third in the constructors’ standings? It would be painful, it would show that we have not been good enough to improve the car all season and that there have been too many mistakes. But we are second and we will do everything we can to stay on top.”
