The Honda rider, who had shown positive signs in the first two days of the weekend in Spain, experienced a nightmarish first lap on Sunday, getting caught up in both Quartararo’s crash and Nakagami’s.

Both riders were not seriously injured, but the eight-time world champion immediately came into the crosshairs for what happened: “I want to clarify something, since the accusations against me have already started.
