National team technical commissioner Marco Velo spoke to the microphones of Federciclismo his assessment after the first day of the World Championships.
“Sunday started very well, ended less well, but nothing to complain about, we did our best. In the morning came the gold medal with Vittoria Guazzini, in the afternoon we paid for a bad day, but the approach had been perfect.”
Clear reference to the pros’ test, with the favorite Filippo Ganna surprisingly even staying off the podium.
