Mortellaro returns to Ramondino’s court

Bertram Derthona announced that it has reached an agreement with Christopher Gino Mortellaro, who returns to wear the black and white jersey after last season’s experience.

Born in Cocoa Beach (Florida) on March 25, 1982, an American center with Italian citizenship, Mortellaro – after attending college with the Drury Panthers jersey from 2002 to 2004 – began his career in Italy, in Jesi, in 2005/06.

This was the first leg of a journey that saw Chris play in Switzerland, Spain, Italy, Hungary and France before returning to our country, where he has been on the court continuously since 2015/16.

Rieti, Agrigento, Chieti, Udine and San Severo were the experiences Mortellaro had before accepting the call of Bertram Derthona in 2021/22. His professionalism over the weeks contributed to the prestigious results achieved by the team (Italian Cup final, fourth place in the regular season and playoff semifinals) in its first year in Serie A. Now Chris returns to Bertram Derthona for a new year of his career.
