F1, Ferrari: Carlos Sainz categorical about the last six races
Carlos Sainz categorical about the latest races
Ferrari driver Carlos Sainz, spoke, interviewed by the Spanish newspaper ‘Marca’, about what awaits him before the end of the season.
“I’m looking forward to running these six races, among other things on very different circuits. Now, then, we will start traveling a lot. We will first face the Asian trip then it will be the American one. These are all circuits that I like, in which I have done well in previous editions, so I can’t wait to start,” explained the bearer of the Maranello stable.
“I think I will be able to fight for victory, without a doubt. In the last few races we have been fighting for pole positions and wins, although it is true that Red Bull has an incredible level and is really doing great things. If we can improve the car, especially in terms of race pace, finding even just a couple of tenths, we will be ready to fight for victory,” Sainz continued, emphasizing the confidence in Ferrari seen in the last few rounds of the world championship.
Finally, he drew an initial balance of his season: “I think I have made important progress during the season. My first win is something that makes me proud and changes you mentally. The championship, as a whole, was complicated, I also had some bad luck at the beginning with a few too many ‘zeros,’ so I lost contact right away in the overall standings. Anyway, then I grew, I hit several podiums so I can’t complain at all.”
