Silvio Baldini is the favorite for the Umbrian bench

Perugia has officially relieved Fabrizio Castori of his role as first team coach. This was announced on Monday by the Umbrian club itself, in the aftermath of the Biancorossi’s defeat in the derby at home to Ternana.

“AC Perugia Calcio announces that it has relieved Fabrizio Castori from the technical guidance of the first team,” the note reads. “To coach Castori, the deputy Riccardo Bocchini, the athletic trainer Carlo Pescosolido, the technical collaborator Tommaso Marolda and the match analyst Marco Castori go the most heartfelt thanks for the commitment, seriousness and fairness shown. Goalkeeper trainer Cristiano Lupatelli will remain with the new team.”

A second announcement is now awaited, with the name of the replacement: according to reports from ‘Sky Sport’ in pole position is Silvio Baldini, a veteran of the Palermo experience that ended surprisingly shortly before the start of this season.
