F1, Ferrari: Charles Leclerc dottes the i’s after Monza
Leclerc freewheeling about Monza and the difficulties of recent months
More than a week has now passed since the Italian Grand Prix, but Charles Leclerc confesses that he still feels quite a few regrets about the race finale at Monza, with the Formula 1 cars finishing on parade behind the safety car.
Speaking to ‘Muschio Selvaggio,’ a web program presented by Fedez, the Monegasque said, “Maybe I wouldn’t have won, but having at least one lap available would have revived the race a little bit. It was a real shame not to be able to reopen the Grand Prix. I’m sorry because Monza gives you a crazy charge, everyone is dressed in red and has high expectations of Ferrari.”
Leclerc also made no secret of the difficulties he has encountered this season: “As my philosophy, I’m someone who works on goals even in difficult times: I have well in mind where I want to get to. In every challenge there are obstacles, but you always have to believe in it and work in the right direction.”
