Milan, good news and bad news for Stefano Pioli
Pioli will be missing a starter who was injured against Napoli
Good news and bad news for Stefano Pioli after the home loss against Napoli.
After the San Siro match, both Davide Calabria, who was substituted at halftime against the partenopei, and Theo Hernandez, who left the France training camp, underwent checks.
“The examinations that Theo Hernandez underwent confirmed a strain of the long right adductor. The player will be rechecked in a week. Instead, the examination done to Calabria excluded muscular injuries,” reads the note released by the Rossoneri club.
The French full-back will therefore be the big absentee at the resumption of the championship and will also miss in the match valid for the third day of the group stage of the Champions League, against the, Chelsea: the goal is to be back at Pioli’s disposal for the October 8 challenge with Massimiliano Allegri’s Juventus.
Calabria, on the other hand, could already be regularly on the field for the Oct. 1 match, which will see Milan engaged in an away game at Empoli.
