“A once-in-a-lifetime experience,” Djokovic commented.

The fifth edition of the Laver Cup, the competition that pits the best European tennis players against those from the rest of the world, will forever remain etched in the memories of tennis fans. So far the mood, at the O2 Arena in London, is not one of sadness or melancholy. Perhaps this may take over as the Swiss champion leaves the court once his latest endeavor is over. For now, the grand champions of Team Europe are just looking forward to having fun and enjoying themselves.

In fact, a photo, posted on Instagram by Novak Djokovic, soon went viral, portraying the sebo together with Federer himself, Nadal and Murray – the infamous Fab Four – engaged in a training session on the London court. In addition to triggering uncontrolled entusisamus from fans, the snapshot was commented on by the tennis players themselves on social media.

“A once in a lifetime experience: to share the court with these legends and rivals. Thank you Laver Cup for making it possible. Looking forward to a great weekend of tennis, celebrating Roger’s career,” wrote the Serbian champion. “The Big 3 together and a clown,” wrote Murray, the one who has won less than his illustrious colleagues, sarcastically. “You don’t often see training sessions like this. What a privilege to be on the practice court with these guys one more time,” he then concluded.
