Novak Djokovic beat US-based Taylor Fritz in two sets
Novak Djokovic’s run at the Atp Finals in Turin continues: the former world number one bent the staunch resistance of U.S. Taylor Fritz in the semifinals, beating him in two sets 7-6, 7-6.
The American showed the obvious progress of recent months by holding his own against Nole but was defeated in the hard-fought tie-breaks of both partials, where the Serb’s experience and determination had the upper hand.
Djokovic, who has won four out of four matches so far, will face the winner of the match between Norway’s Casper Ruud and Russia’s Andrey Rublev on Sunday.Nole is in the hunt for his sixth career Finals success, which would allow him to join Roger Federer on the all-time leaderboard.
