Italvolley is ready for its debut in the 2022 Women’s World Championship against Cameroon. The European champions, included in Pool A in Arnhem, will face the African lineup on Court B of the Gelredome: one of three facilities set up inside the multi-purpose stadium, home of the Vitesse soccer team.

“The feelings are good, we have arrived well at this World Cup. – the words of Davide Mazzanti – The summer was very long, we have many weeks of work behind us and now we have a month of emotions ahead of us. We are coming to this tournament not so much strong from the medals won in the European and VNL, but above all with the awareness of having reached a high level of effectiveness in certain aspects of the game. This allows us to play with a different awareness than a while ago. I think in 2018 we had the hope of playing for something important, while today there is the will to fight for the title. I think this is the biggest difference from 2018, in addition to all the experiences we have gained together, it has been several years now that this group has been at the highest level. In my opinion, the team has always had the ability to reframe both defeats and victories. I often hear from Fefè De Giorgi, and the great thing was that we shared together the preparation for this summer, we discussed many ideas and things that in the end I think served both us and them.
