Fabio Quartararo is not happy after qualifying in Japan

World champion Fabio Quartararo commented negatively on MotoGp qualifying in Japan, which saw him finish ninth: “I’m not happy because I expected much more. I still don’t understand how it is possible to get to Q2, do 1’56″7 on the first lap and then do the same time for all of qualifying. No improvement. I have the impression that, looking at the data, it’s not the same thing. I got a little lost on this track in the wet.”

What worries the French rider most is Yamaha’s difficulty in overtaking Ducati and Aprilia: “The only problem is the ease of overtaking. I’m more worried about that. Where will I be able to overtake? The braking after the straight…. That will be my main problem for the race. At the moment Turn 7 is not really a place to overtake, but if I want to overtake, that’s the only place I can do it.”
