Novak Djokovic avenges Roger Federer and Rafa Nadal

Clean win for Djokovic against one of Federer and Nadal’s executioners

Matches between Team Europe and Team World representatives in the 2022 edition of the Laver Cup continue apace. At the O2 Arena in London it was also Novak Djokovic’s time, as he somewhat avenged Roger Federer and Rafa Nadal by defeating in two sets one of the two winners of the historic doubles match played on Friday, Frances Tiafoe.

It took Djokovic only 74 minutes to get rid of the US Open semifinalist: 6-1, 6-3 the partials, with the Serb in complete control in the first set and good, in the second, at cancelling a couple of potentially important break points.

Nole thus returned to success in the first match played after a very long break: he had not been on court, in fact, since the Wimbledon final won against Nick Kyrgios.
