DTM championship boss Berger is ready to get back at it with Valentino Rossi

Gerhard Berger, former Ferrari driver and promoter of the DTM, the German Grand Touring Car Championship, in an interview with Kronen Zeitung talking about the upcoming season returned to talk about Valentino Rossi, who has already been courted at length in the past months.

Rumors speak of a possible landing in the DTM of Sebastian Vettel and Daniel Ricciardo, who will not race in F1 next season, but Berger is pessimistic and points precisely to the Doctor or Jorge Lorenzo: “Vettel’s priorities have changed, I can’t imagine him driving a combustion engine car. And it’s too early to talk to Daniel, who is still looking for a steering wheel in F1. People should come of their own volition: for example, Jorge Lorenzo wanted to come on his own initiative to Spielberg, and I also know that Valentino Rossi regularly follows the DTM.”

The Doctor this season has been racing in the GT World Challenge Europe behind the wheel of the WRT team’s Audi, but he has not yet made up his mind about 2023.
