Ducati, Danilo Petrucci finish fourth in Alabama and surrender to Jake Gagne
Jake Gagne confirms himself as MotoAmerica champion: the U.S. rider finished second in Race 2 at Barber Motorsports Park, thus clinching the U.S. Superbike championship title for the second year in a row.
The fourth place for Ducati centaur Danilo Petrucci, leader in the first part of the World Championship, was not enough: the rider from Terni closes in second place in the overall standings with a final balance however positive with five victories and 11 podiums in twenty races held. Now Petrucci will return to Italy, where he will participate in the Enduro Absolute, scheduled in Castiglion Fiorentino.
