Gianluigi Donnarumma, Roberto Mancini explains what has changed
Roberto Mancini exposes himself on Gianluigi Donnarumma
Among the protagonists of Italy’s victory in Hungary, which allows the Azzurri to enter the Nations League Final Four for the second consecutive time, was Gianluigi Donnarumma. The Psg goalkeeper, in fact, made a couple of important interventions, the second of which, just after Dimarco’s 2-0 win, prevented the Magyars from coming powerfully back into the game.
Roberto Mancini, in the press room after the match, commented on the ex-Milanista’s performance, explaining what had changed compared to some outings in which he had been less convincing, even in the Azzurri: “Gigio was good,” he said, “Now at Psg he is living a calmer situation than last year, this condition is benefiting him.
The Azzurri national team, thanks to the victory at the Puskas Arena, clinched a place among the four participants in the Nations League Final Four. Two other places are occupied by Croatia and the Netherlands, while the last slot is contested between Portugal and Spain. France, winner of last year’s edition, will be absent, however.
