Emiliano Viviano outspoken about Gianluigi Donnarumma and Mike Maignan
Viviano outspoken about former and current Milan goalkeeper
Emiliano Viviano, former goalkeeper of Sampdoria, Bologna and Fiorentina among others, spoke, interviewed by ‘TvPlay-Calciomercato.it’, drawing a parallel between Gianluigi Donnarumma, former goalkeeper of AC Milan and Mike Maignan, current goalkeeper of the Rossoneri team.
“One is quick to give evaluations, however, potentially Donnarumma is the strongest in the world, certainly in the top five: it is complicated to judge goalkeepers,” explained the current Turkish club’s extreme defender Fatih Karagumruk.
“It is not fair to say that Donnarumma is the strongest goalkeeper in the world because there is for example Courtois who has shown continuity. Donnarumma has potential, but he has to prove over time,” Viviano continued, also talking about the Italian national team’s goalkeeper, who was superlative in the match against Hungary on Sept. 26.
“Maignan is very good at reading space and using his feet, as is required today,” he then concluded, giving his assessment of Milan’s Frenchman.
