Inter in mourning, Giancarlo Beltrami dies
For 16 years, Giancarlo Beltrami was the sporting director of Inter.
Inter says goodbye to Giancarlo Beltrami, a longtime manager of the Nerazzurri club. Raised in the youth ranks of AC Milan, playing as a midfielder, Beltrami has died at the age of 85.
As a player he wore the jerseys of Milan, Verona, Bolzano, Cosenza, Livorno, Varese and Monza, playing in Serie A, B and C leagues. After retiring, he served as Inter’s sporting director from 1977 to 1993, under two presidencies, Fraizzoli’s and Pellegrini’s: during that time the Milanese club won two Scudetti, two Italian Cups and one Uefa Cup.
