NBA, Kyrie Irving safe: lost 100 million without vaccine
For his decision, lost a four-year contract.
According to Irving, because of his choice not to vaccinate against Covid-19, he lost a four-year contract with the Nets at about $100 million total: The super star spoke of a kind of ultimatum from the Brooklyn franchise: sign the contract and get vaccinated, the gist of it.
Prompt response from Nets GM Marks: “There was no ultimatum. You don’t give someone an ultimatum to get a vaccination. It’s a personal choice. He thought and made his choice. It was his decision.” Irving will have to work hard during the upcoming season to convince some franchise to bet on him. The Nets hope he gives it his all in this final year in Brooklyn.
