Bublik lashes out, “I don’t want my son to be a tennis player.”
Kazakh tennis player: “It’s not a fun life, there’s a lot of travel.”
Alexander Bublik in an interview with Clay revealed that he does not appreciate his life as a tennis player: “It’s not a fun life, there’s a lot of travel. There are many people who dream of having clean drinking water, so it’s not that I don’t appreciate what I have, it’s just that I don’t like it, that’s all.”
The 25-year-old Kazakh new father went on to reveal that he will not push his son into tennis: “In my case, I never had a chance not to be a tennis player. My father told me to play and my mother supported him, so I played. I was only two years old, but the question of whether or not I wanted to be a tennis player was never raised. That is why I don’t want my son to play tennis, we will see what he is good at, at the moment I have no idea. You have to give them the freedom to see what they can become.”
