Fognini-Bolelli, bitter Thursday: dream dashed
The Italian pair was defeated in the round of 16 of the doubles tournament in Paris-Bercy
Fabio Fognini and Simone Bolelli’s doubles tournament at the Paris-Bercy Masters 1000 ended in the round of 16. The Italian pair was defeated in two sets 6-4, 7-5 by the duo consisting of India’s Rohan Bopanna and Matwe Middelkoop of the Netherlands.
This defeat permanently barred the way for the Fognini-Bolelli pair for the Atp Finals scheduled in Turin. The duo will look to make up for it in the Davis Cup at the end of November.
