Lorenzo Musetti explains the feat: now he dreams of a big rematch
Lorenzo Musetti over the moon after victory over world number three Ruud
Lorenzo Musetti signed the feat at the Paris-Bercy Masters 1000, overcoming world number four Casper Ruud in a comeback and qualifying for the quarterfinals of the French tournament.
The tennis player from Carrara after the match won in three sets explained his growth: “I am delighted, we both played well until the end and I needed my best tennis to beat him. I am learning that only work can make me improve. After the first set I stayed calmer and more patient. At first I was a little rushed. Then I started waiting for the right moment to attack and responding better.”
The dream is a rematch with Novak Djokovic, who overcame him at Roland Garros: “It would be incredible to face him, at Roland Garros I was two sets ahead. If I face him I will look for a rematch. I hope to have fun on the court and make people happy.”
