Napoli, Khvicha Kvarastkhelia out with Atalanta
Kvaratskhelia unavailable for match with Atalanta
Bad news at home to Napoli. The blue club will have to do without one of its most important players in the delicate away match in Bergamo, a match valid for the 13th day of Serie A, scheduled for Saturday at 6 p.m.
The news came via a statement from the Neapolitan club itself: “Kvaratskhelia will not take part in the away match in Bergamo due to an episode of acute lumbago. Rrahmani underwent therapy and gymnasium.”
The injury does not seem serious and the hope is to recover the Georgian player already for the next engagement – the midweek round with Empoli -, but it is certainly a heavy absence for the match with Atalanta. Spaletti will have to decide who to deploy in place of the former Dinamo Batumi man, with Raspadori ahead of Elmas, with the other flank occupied by Lozano in place of Politano, a starter at Anfield.
Napoli has won two Scudetti in its history, both with Diego Armando Maradona on the field: the first with Ottavio Bianchi on the bench (1986-87 season), the second with Albertino Bigon (1989-90) at the helm. Luciano Spalletti has been at the helm of the Azzurri since 2021: before him was Gennaro Gattuso.
