Mooney VR46 Racing Team driver doesn’t hold back

Luca Marini does not hold back after qualifying for the Valencia Grand Prix at the ‘Ricardo Tormo’ circuit.

The Mooney VR46 Racing Team rider set the eleventh fastest time (1′ 30″ 143), after a promising fourth place in Friday’s free practice.

“A real shame, a bad qualifying and a bad position on the grid. I felt good on the bike, I thought I did two good laps, not at the level of the very first ones, instead the gap is bigger than expected. I was curious to figure it out and immediately stopped in the pit box to check the data. I take off very hard in many places on the track and lose on the exit. We need to work on getting more grip behind and managing that better. In FP4, on the other hand, we didn’t do badly, which means we can recover tomorrow, although it won’t be easy, and have fun,” Marini explained to the team’s official channels.
